Columbia Public Schools are aiming to build off of recent successes and make sure the community works toward common goals. To help the district in this effort, the community is considering a Strive-like effort. In a recent community meeting, citizens discussed the effort, identifying potential benefits and challenges. One citizen was enthusiastic about the initiative, noting that "the plan is realistic because it organizes everything already being done and identifies steps needed to meet goals." As a parent of children ages 6 and 7, Sarver said she finds the planning encouraging.
