Practical experience is a good teacher of job skills and job preference, and high school and college students can explore many opportunities in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region.

Dosomething - www.dosomething.org

Dosomething is a national organization dedicated to inspiring young people to volunteer in their communities; student volunteers can qualify for awards.

 

ArtWorks - www.artworkscincinnati.org

ArtWorks provides summer and other employment in arts for local high school youth.

College Co-op Programs

Cooperative education, which alternates academic classes with paid work in the student's field, was pioneered by the University of Cincinnati early in the century and is now widely available at institutiosn across the region.
