Andy Freeze is senior director of development and grants at StriveTogether, where he manages and executes the strategic process of grant acquisition and grant management.
Before joining StriveTogether, Andy served in several roles at Grantmakers for Effective Organizations, based in Washington, D.C. During his eight years with the organization, his responsibilities including fundraising and development, operations, accounting and finance, human resources and IT management. Prior to working with Grantmakers for Effective Organizations, Andy worked in homeless advocacy organizations both nationally and locally. He was the executive director of the North American Street Newspaper Association and worked at the Greater Cincinnati Coalition for the Homeless as the education coordinator, where he ran the Streetvibes program.
Andy holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Xavier University. He lives in Cincinnati with his wife and two kids.
Our value of community is important to me because since I’ve had kids, I’ve better understood that it really does take a community to raise kids. And while our work is often focused on systems, the communities that we live in and surround ourselves with also play such a critical role in supporting all kids and families to reach their full potential.
