Justice is important to me because I’ve witnessed firsthand the devastating consequences of injustice. Every human being should be granted an equal and equitable opportunity to have their needs met. Equitable education opportunities, health care, economic mobility and basic human needs and rights continue to be neglected by oppressive systems. In order to effectively end oppression, we have to understand the injustice of systems and the lengths they go to maintain oppression.
