Data Analyst

As data analyst for StriveTogether, Brienna Kightlinger supports the implementation of our data strategy by facilitating data-driven learning and the developing data capability within the Cradle to Career Network and the StriveTogether team.

Bri has a strong background in data analysis and research and a passion for educational equity. After a few years of teaching young children, she transitioned into the educational policy space by attending graduate school to study the teaching profession and train in quantitative research methods. Most recently, she was the research associate for College Possible, a national nonprofit dedicated to supporting college access and success for students from low-income backgrounds. In this role, she led data projects such as measuring students’ standardized test score gains with a novel categorical growth approach and surveying the organization’s college coaches and coach alumni.

Bri holds a Master’s in education policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor’s in Spanish & Teacher Education from Wellesley College. She lives in St. Paul, Minnesota with her partner, Alec, and their border collie rescue, Cirrus.

Health equity is another huge passion of mine. Health care not only is a human right, but also should be SO much more affordable and easier to navigate than the status quo in the U.S. Nothing quite gets my blood boiling like the cost and complexity of health care, how the current system incentivizes behavior that is not in the interest of patients’ health, and how ill people (who often already are marginalized by other oppressive systems) have to bear these unfair burdens.
