Andy Freeze

Senior Director, Development

Andy Freeze is the senior director of development and grants at StriveTogether, where he leads the strategic execution of fundraising efforts, with a focus on institutional grant acquisition and stewardship. He collaborates across teams to align funding strategies with StriveTogether’s mission to deliver better outcomes for young people nationwide, putting them on a path to economic mobility. Andy drives development planning and supports the organization’s strategic goals by building relationships with major funders and managing the full grant lifecycle. His role also includes coordinating grant reporting and compliance processes to ensure organizational effectiveness and transparency.

Prior to joining StriveTogether, Andy spent eight years at Grantmakers for Effective Organizations in Washington, D.C., where he held multiple roles spanning development, operations, finance, HR and IT. His cross-functional leadership experience equipped him with strong analytical, operational and strategic planning skills essential for successful fund development and organizational alignment. Earlier in his career, Andy served as executive director of the North American Street Newspaper Association and as education coordinator at the Greater Cincinnati Coalition for the Homeless, where he led public engagement and advocacy initiatives. These roles deepened his expertise in nonprofit leadership, stakeholder engagement and advancing social impact through collaborative partnerships.

Andy holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Xavier University. He resides in Cincinnati, Ohio, with his wife and three children.
