Special Assistant, Advancement
Rachel Holley Flynn is the special assistant for the advancement function at StriveTogether. In this role, she serves as the primary point of contact for StriveTogether’s Chief Advancement Officer, Colin Groth and Vice President of Marketing and Communication, Tomás Bilbao.
Rachel’s journey to StriveTogether is a mosaic of her diverse professional experiences. She spent nearly a decade in the medical field, supporting doctors and clinical researchers, all while mastering the art of deciphering their notoriously illegible handwriting. Following this, she dived into the human resources world at a local marketing firm, where she juggled support of the recruiting and learning and development functions. Joining StriveTogether as office administrator in 2021, Rachel’s talents quickly shone through, leading her to a role supporting members of senior leadership—proof that great things happen when you bring both coffee and enthusiasm to the office!
A native of Sharonville, Ohio, Rachel made the leap across the Ohio River to Dayton, Kentucky, where she now enjoys a lively life with her husband, Keith. Their household is a veritable zoo, featuring two animated dogs, Duncan and Cheese Tony, and an ever-curious cat named Tomato. When she’s not at work, you’ll find Rachel embarking on neighborhood adventures with her dogs, attempting to identify birds with varying degrees of success or sampling every restaurant within walking distance. Her evenings are filled with binge-watching TV shows, challenging video games and plenty of laughs.

Healthcare – specific to mental health care! There is still such a stigma around mental health care, especially for people of color. I hope we can make mental health care more affordable for everyone, regardless of their circumstances.
